Unpaid municipal workers cut access to Gibraltar this morning

(Agencies/Photo: EuropaSur) About 100 municipal workers cut access to thefrontier on the La Línea this morning for an hour in a demonstration demanding salary payment for November and their annual extra. Local Police, of whom about 40% have not been paid thus far either, tried to put some order to the traffic jam that went back for several kilometres. Drivers trying to get into Gibraltar made their horns sound for over half an hour. A spokesperson for the police union said that the union is planning a vote on whether to hold an 'indefinite strike' on December 20th.
