(Press release/Photo: EuropaSur) LA LÍNEA - The sailing boat that went aground on the Poniente (western) beach of La Línea in a storm on December 22 is still there, visible to all passers-by. This is not the only such recent case, as the Algeciras Port Authority removed another similar vessel last week from the sand right in front of the Rocamar Hotel that had been there for several months. Shortly after that had been done, the sea came up to fill the mouth of the stream nearby, taking with it a good portion of the beach. Again, this is not an unusual occurrence, as winter storms do cause great damage to beaches all along the coastline, particularly where marinas and 'unnatural' building has been allowed to happen.
