(Agencies/Photo: Diario Sur) Early this morning an operation by the Organized Crime Units of the National Police (Udyco) spread out on the Costa del Sol, from Estepona to Marbella and Fuengirola, arresting over 20 people allegedly involved in such things as assasinations, kidnappings, drug dealing and prostitution, among others. Most of those arrested so far are British and Irish. Searches of homes are under way, and the operation is carried out by Spanish, British and Irish police, as well as Europol. Similar operations are being carried out in London and Dublin.UPDATE BELOW.>
Sources say that the alleged head of the gang is Christopher Kinahan, a 53 year old Briton, who was arrested with other members of his family.
The raids had netted 32 people by 4pm this afternoon, including four Spanish lawyers.
