Eleven arrested in false insurance claims scams

The National Police have arrested eleven people so far this year in a crackdown on false insurance claims. In separate incidents, all of the false claimants claimed that they had been robbed in the street, and another two have been detained for false denuncias (accusations). The claims were made at the police station's citizen's security office, in many cases including descriptions of the alleged perpetrators that later turned out to be inexistent.
