New police station 'will save a lot of money'

JIMENA Jimena's new police station is on the way to completion. Strategically sited at the junction with the A-405 main road and allowing for quick access to all the municipality, the new building had a visit this morning from Mayor Pascual Collado and Councillor for Works Fernando Gómez, accompanied by the town architect, Juan Luis Callejo, the Chief of Police, Francisco Espejo, and others. The new station, designed by architect Victor Gómez, of Doble G Arquitectos S.L., will allow the local police to leave its present quarters across the street from the Town Hall, which is a rented space. This elicited the Mayor's comment regarding saving money, one of the principal commitments of his mandate.
