MADRID The pandas born at Madrid Zoo (reported here) are acquiring their classical black and white colours; they're born pink. They have more than doubled their weight and are doing well after twenty days; 365 and 337 grammes. They are as yet unsexed, therefore unnamed, but it is expected to be able to do so this month. Mother Hua Zui Ba has to be tricked into attending her pups because when this species gives birth to two or more, the mother chooses the strongest and abandons the other. Hua Zui Ba doesn't know that her babies are exchanged every three hours.
