Broadband in Spain is up to three times slower than other European countries

SPAIN (Source: ADSLzone.net from an original article in EuropaSur) We sort of knew this, didn't we? But it is confirmed by a test carried out by ADSLzone.net among almost 5 million broadband users. Spain is behind Portugal, France, Germany and the UK in terms of broadband speed. Thus, the average download speed in Spain is 5.67Mb, whereas in Portugal it is 18.57, in Germany 15.26,  in France 11.62 and in the UK it iaverages 8.41. The average upload speed is in Spain is 395kb, while the OECD (Organisation for European Economic Co-operation) recommends a minimum of 1Mb for best use of the Internet. Upload speed, says the report, is 'way behind' in Spain - but we knew that, too, didn't we?
