Spain confirms intention of building on North side of airport

LA LÍNEA (EuropaSur) The Spanish airport management company, AENA, yesterday sent a letter to the Mayor of La Líneas, Alejandro Sánchez, in response to the latter's request for information on the state of building access to the new Gibraltar airport from Spain. The letter apparently said that AENA is waiting for the "formalization of conditions of cession of the municipal land on which it is to be built," according to Deputy Salvador de la Encina. The company is "absolutely not" renouncing to carrying out the project that is included in the Tripartite Forum talks, but "cannot get on with any planning" until such conditions are set. Mayor Sánchez said he had not yet received the letter but that "it sounded positive."
