Hits six cars, registers five times legal alcohol limit

ALGECIRAS (Agencies) Shortly after 10pm on Monday night, Local Police agents attended an accident on Avenida Ramón Puyol. A driver had hit six cars parked in the road. It turned out to be a 26 year old man, of Algeciras, who was slightly injured and was taken to hospital, where a blood test revealed that he had 2.5 grammes per litre, five times the legal limit and twice the amount for it to be considered a crime. He is 'at the disposal of the courts'. The police continue their breathalyser campaign throughout the week, a practice in all the area's municipalities at this time of year.
