GIBRALTAR (Agencies) As we reported here, residents of the former Mediterranean Hotel on Eastern Beach, were evacuated just before the holidays after government-appointed engineers, having found serious defects in the building, said its structural integrity could not be guaranteed. They were housed temporarily at another hotel, while a more thorough inspection was carried out at the old hotel, which had been converted into apartments. The twenty families affected by the matter will find out towards the end of this week whether they will be able to return home.
