CAMPO DE GIBRALTAR (Agencies) According to data furnished by the Junta de Andalucía, the Plan Renove (or, 'Renew' Plan) has meant that the substitution of almost 14,000 white goods in the Campo de Gibraltar has resulted in 1,154.67 tons of CO2 not finding their way into the atmosphere since 2006. And some 3,163,562 Kw in electricity savings, the equivalent of the average cost of 633 homes in the area. Campo residents have opted for changing 7,200 of their washing machines for more environmentally 'conscious' ones, plus 2,832 fridges and 2,561 dishwashers.
