ALGECIRAS (Agencies) Just two days after the explosion that destroyed two sullage tanks in Gibraltar, Salvamento Maritimo has already removed 10 tons of fuel residue from the sea. The latest report from the Junta states that a total of 23 tons had been collected from the water, the beaches and other places. There is no information as to how much residue actually leaked from the sullage plant. Algeciras Acting Mayor, Diego Sánchez Rull, stated today that the council would be suing Shell Petrolium in a Gibraltar court, initially for €3million as a precautionary measure.
