Foreigners registered in La Línea are mostly British

LA LINEA (Agencies)  The number of foreign nationals registered in La Línea has reached 6,858, the majority of whom are British. According to the municipal registry (padrón), the total population is 70,037 (35,052 women, 34,985, men), of which Spanish nationals account for 63,169 (32,050 women, 31,129 men). Foreign residents registered at the Town Hall and in the census, amount to 6,858 (3,856 men, 3,002 women). Of these, British citizens outnumber the rest with a total of 2,391 (1,346 men vs.1,045 women). Next in number of foreigners, but a long way off, are>
Moroccan nationals (807), followed by Romanians (344), Portuguese (340), Bolivians (281), Argentines (275), Chinese (261), Germans (185), French (101), Indians (125). The rest of registered foreigners line up by country as follows: Bulgaria (92), Brazil (88), Austria (22), Belgium (35), Colombia (94), Cuba (38), Chile (23), Cyprus (20), Denmark (29), Ecuador (64), Slovakia (19), USA (45), Philippines (14), Greece (28), Hungary (31), Ireland (47), Lithuania (19), Nigeria (17), Norway (14),Holland  (74), Pakistan (64), Peru (48), Czech (30), Dominican Republic (46), Russia (24), Senegal (86), Sweden (24), Ukrain (30) and Uruguay (16), to name only the more numerous.
