Stabbing at Cornwall's Centre

GIBRALTAR (Agencies) A man was stabbed in broad daylight in the area of the Cornwall's Centre on Tuesday afternoon. The man, who is in his twenties and locally resident, was taken to St Bernard's Hospital where he remained stable last night. The incident happened in the early afternoon as bars and restaurants in the area were busy with lunchtime trade. The assailant escaped after the attack and remains at large; the RGP continues to search for him. Police cordoned off the area as forensics officers moved in to collect evidence (photo). In other police activity, a 53 year old man responding to the initials B.T. appeared in court for possession of child pornography and was freed on bail of £2,500, while another man, 41, was arrested on the Rock on a Northern Ireland warrant, also for child pornography, was extradited over the weekend.
