Price of new housing in Algeciras falls by 8.5%

ALGECIRAS (Agencies) The price of new housing in Algeciras fell by 8.5% in the first six months of the year, which makes the town and La Línea the cheapest among coastal towns in the area, according to a report issued on Saturday by the Sociedad de Tasación (ST, or Society of Appraisals). The price per square meter is now €1,320 in Algeciras, and €1,514 in La Línea. Overall, the price of new homes in Andalucía went down by 2,9% in the year's first semester, and by 5,6% compared to the same period last year. Sevilla and Cádiz are the most expensive cities in the region (€2,145/m2 and €2,123 respectively).
