ALGECIRAS (Agencies) The Summer Sales are on and retailers are optimistic - okay, cautiously optimistic. With prices down by 20, 30, 40 and even 50%, they are hopingto attract flocks of buyers. The President of Apymeal (Asociacion de la Pequeña y Mediana Empresa, Small and Medium Business Association), José Antonio Fenoy, feels that "people seem more willing to spend a little more." With overall sales 'in the doldrums', Fenoy hopes that things will turn around at least in part to offset a bad season so far.
