Spanish bankers, third on list of best paid in Europe

EUROPE / SPAIN (Agencies) A study by French pollster Alphaville, published in Le Parisien on Saturday, said that Spanish banking executives were the third best paid in Europe in 2010, with €3,701,000,000 in total. The calculations include not only their regular salaries but also other kinds of remuneration such as stock, shares, etc. Ahead of the Spaniards were the British (€5,777 million) and the Swiss (€4,422 million). The Germans came after Spain (€3,285 million), the Italians (€1,896M), the Swedish (€1,356M), Austrians (€1,251M), French (€865,075) and the Portuguese (€845,892), according to the study. The list of thirteen countries closed out with the Danes (€796,669), the Dutch (€623,250), Norwegians (€537,567) and, lastly, the Belgians with €250.674.
