GIBRALTAR (GibChronicle by Alice Mascarenhas) Royal fever hit Gibraltar yesterday as thousands took to the heart of town to greet and meet their Royal Highnesses the Earl and Countess of Wessex, here as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. At noon, on the dot, Prince Edward and Countess Sophie arrived on the British Airways flight, just as the Rock heard its second 21 Gun Salute of the day, fired by Thomson’s Battery of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment.
