Mancomunidad to study viability of abandoned dog collection service

CAMPO DE GIBRALTAR (Agencies) The Mancomunidad de Municipios held an Ordinary Session last Friday. On the agenda were several proposals from various area councils. Among them was one from Jimena: a proposal to create an abandoned dog collection service to serve all seven municipalities. The law establishes that every municipality must have such a service, but financial constraints have led to it gradually disappearing at every one of them, something that has undoubtedly been noticed at the various animal rescue centres in the Campo. Nevertheless, a proposal to study the viability and sustainability of the service was carried unanimously. (Prospero note: watch this space ... with a pinch of salt.)
