JIMENA Álvaro Gil, a student at Instituto Hozgarganta in Jimena , was recently awarded a prize for his business idea La Casa de la Pesca, which he entered for the ninth edition of Emprendejoven, a competition for youngsters of the Formación Profesional section of the Instituto. With the support of the Centro de Apoyo al Desarrollo Empresarial (CADE, Business Development Support Centre), Álvaro's project is for the creation of rural apartments aimed at the sport of inland fishing, including the possibility of renting non-motorised boats, a shop and a series of events and activities with the objective of developing this form of fishing. Having started his project during last year's school course, his was one of eight winners in Andalucía that will be headed for the final phase of the competition that has some 1,439 projects presented.
