Seven Spanish arrests in 'Operation Rescue' paedophile ring, the world's largest

SPAIN (Agencies) As is reported in the media everywhere, Europol dismantled the largest Internet child pornography ring the world has ever yet seen. The so-called 'boylover.net' network has 70,000 members in 30 countries. So far there are some 184 arrests, seven of them in Spain. More are expected, though. Spanish investigations, after a 37 year old Dutch citizen was detained in 2009, covered the provinces of Almería, Badajoz, Cádiz, Castellón, Madrid, Málaga, Sevilla, Zaragoza, Barcelona, Girona, Tarragona and Valencia, where 17 searches were carried out, resulting in a vast amount of computer paraphernalia containing paedophile material being confiscated for further investigation. Among those arrested, said the Guardia Civil, are several "sexual predators that had abused children and recorded the abuse, which they later uploaded onto the various websites used by the ring."
