Are you registered to vote?

Local and ‘autonomous region’ elections are set for Sunday May 27th. EU residents in Spain are eligible to vote. The procedure is simple: register at the Town Hall (EMPADRONAMIENTO) and turn up at your voting station with your residency card (TARJETA DE RESIDENCIA). Once you register, you will be informed of the procedure by mail and told which is your voting station (Jimena has one at the primary school in the top village, and another in Estación). It is worth remembering that we do have a voice in the community in which we live, so let’s get out there and make ourselves heard.(The mid 1970s poster reads: "It's easier to stay at home, but it's more necessary to VOTE.")
