Algeciras-Gibraltar ferry increases schedule

Transcoma, the company that operates the ferry service across the Bay of Algeciras, which began in December (see CP item here), has decided to increase its crossing frequencies as from tomorrow. A company statement said that Algeciras residents working on the Rock will be able to board at 7.30am and return at either. 125 places have been reserved for the workers, with a special ticket at €2.50 for which they will have to prove both residence in Algeciras and work in Gibraltar, as well as weekly or monthly travel cards. (For schedule information see Transcoma website)
