Caruana: 'Landaluce is auto-megaphone'

(Agencies) Gibraltar's Chief Minister Peter Caruana yesterday criticized PP Deputy José Ignacio Landaluce's (photo) attitude towards the Rock. At a meeting held yesterday at a school in La Línea, Caruana said that Landaluce has "self-proclaimed himself an 'auto-megaphone' on the subject of Gibraltar," adding that the Partido Popular Deputy  for Cádiz "is not constructive" about improving cross-border relations. "Shouting out your opinions leads nowhere," said. "Of course, if Landaluce screams what he thinks Spaniards want to hear, that's his problem." Asked about UN Secretary General Ban Ki -Moon's recent statements on decolonization, Caruana said that the Committee of 24 "must recognize the impact of our new Constitution," adding, "We have nothing to ask from [the Committee]."
