Guadarranque River work: 40 expropiations

(Agencies/Photo: EuropaSur) As we announced here, the Junta de Andalucía is investing €29.1 million in redirecting the Guadarranque river to avoid flooding, chiefly as it affects Los Barrios and San Roque. In the first phase of the project, the Agencia Andaluza del Agua yesterday met with owners of some of the total of 40 properties that have to be expropiated 'urgently' to talk about the subject. A similar procedure took place in San Roque on Wednesday. (See details of the project here.)
