ALGECIRAS
The II Congreso Internacional sobre Migración de Aves y Cambio Climático gets under way today at the Reina Cristina Hotel this morning. Some 200 scientists from 25 countries take part to discuss the relationship between climate change, the environment and animal behaviour. This forum is expected to become a world reference point where scientists using the latest bird-tracking technology, attracting many of the top ornithologists, will be putting their findings forward. At the presentation of the event, the President of organizers Fundación Migres, Miguel Ferrer, said that this was an opportunity to bring together the world's "principal investigators in Algeciras, which places us on the front line," adding that "birds are magnificent emissaries that allow us to plan strategies for he future."
