National Police station 'falling to bits'

LA LÍNEA
The police union has warned that the station in La Línea is 'falling to pieces', according to communiqué issued yesterday. The union says that the building (photo) is too old and has not been adequately maintained for the purposes to which it is presently assigned. Built 40 years ago, its capacity is overwhelmed by 304 officers, plus 40 trainees and 20 in 'open classrooms'. It is also subject to flooding, especially in the cells underground and in the officers' changing rooms. The union also complains about a lack of vehicles 'because the repair shop is flooded as soon asit rains.'
