GIBRALTAR
Several sources have revealed that a number of employees at gaming companies based in Gibraltar have been made redundant recently, or are expecting to be laid off. We have been able to confirm that some 30 jobs were lost, or are about to be, at 888.com, owned by Cassava. In a sense, this confirms that many jobs in gaming companies are being taken to such countries as Bulgaria, Rumania and Albania, where labour costs are considerably cheaper. (Note: If you have been laid off, or know anyone who has or is about to be, please let us know.)
