Unemployment rose in Andalucía by 25,500 people in the third quarter of the year, an increase of 2.31% over the previous quarter. This amounts to a total unemployed of 1,129,500 in the autonomous region, or 28.55% of the working population, according to the Instituto Nacional de Estadística, who issued a report this morning. Unemployment in Spain as whole came down by 1.52% in the same period, which means that 4.574.700 people are registered as unemployed in the country, representing 19.79% nationwide. Andalucía is the second region in terms of unemployed, behind the Canaries with 28.67%.
