LOS BARRIOS (Agencies/Photo: EuropaSur) The streets of Los Barrios are showing the effects of eight days worth of industrial action by municipal workers that is in its eighth day.One of the more obvious consequences is that the streets haven't been cleaned since then. The reason for the strike: municipal employees have only been paid part of their salaries for September, nothing for October - and Mayor Juan Montedeoca yesterday refused to give a date for the beginning of back pay, while a FSP-UGT union spokesperson, Manuel Andrades, said that the strike is due exclusively to bad management by the Council.
