LOS BARRIOS (Photo: illustration only)Local Police confiscated 242 kilos of food and 57 litres of drinks from a Chinese bazaar in th Palmones industrial/shopping estate. The iems did not meet labeling laws that require sell-by dates and ingredient lists, among other obligatory details. The shop is in the proces of getting a licence as a bazaar, which does not allow sales of food or drink. Most of the confiscated items were of the Asian food variety, such as noodles, rice pastes, tinned duck and chicken meat, sweet & sour sauce, yogurt, coconut milk, beer and sake.
