'If it was illegal, we will denounce it'

LA LINEA (Agencies) The new Mayor of La Linea, Gemma Araujo, yesterday visited the Public Prosecutor's Office to denounce the disappearance of children's playground material, which she says "supposedly" went to the home of the daughter of a PP Councillor. The swings and slides, etc. had been stored temporarily in a municipal facility. Araujo says she has photos of it all, including some showing municipal workers taking the material to the house, in municipal vehicles. She has also reported the destruction of several boxes full of official material. "They (the opposition PP that had so much trouble paying wages when in power) haven't even allowed us the 100 days' grace before asking when the wages are going to be paid. All they've left are a lot of unanswered questions," said Araujo. "If we find anything illegal, we will denounce it and the law will have to take care of it."
