JIMENA Hang on, we're not talking about the Obar Bar. We're talking about a local band that was formed in the 1970s and have recently regrouped just for fun. They were called Oba long before anyone decided to name a bar after the Roman name for Jimena, Oba. They, the group, have appeared at several such things but this one is perhaps closer to our hearts as it's for our local charity, La Estrella. The benefit concert is on at 11pm on Saturday, June 18, at the 16th century cloisters at the La Victoria Church, half way up Jimena village. It's a fun way to support our local handicapped and help them pay for summer activities for the kids that need our special attention - so see you there!
