Art students help school renovations selling their work

Stamp never issued
ALGECIRAS The saga behind rehabilitation at the Escuela de Arte y Oficios, an emblematic building if ever there was, is a never ending tale of broken promises and money that never comes. Which is why the students there - a talented, adventurous lot - have put up their work for sale, in the hope of raising at least some money for work to start. Navidart opens this morning and remains there until Thursday, from11.30 am to 12.30 and then from 6 to 8 pm daily. The work available for purchase is donated by students and teachers, with all the money going towards their very good cause. Graphic art as well as drawings, etchings and the like have been set up in  the Sala Oblícua, one of the schools many spaces - and one of the few that can be used, the rest being largely in an appalling state.
