Rota mayor accused in corruption case

ROTA The PP Mayor of Rota, María Eva Corrales, and her predecessor in the office and present Vice-Mayor, Lorenzo Sánchez, of the Roteños Unidos party, have been summoned to appear in court on November 29 to make their statements. These contracts were allegedly entered into for the purpose of benefiting the builder, and include the creation of an industrial estate on the outskirts of town, as well as the urbanization on Avenidas Mayeto and Carbonera. Supposedly, none of these -and there may be others- were officially put out to tender in the proper procedure.
