El Cobre residents warn of neglected horses

(Photo: EuropaSur) Neighbours of El Cobre have contacted EuropaSur to denounce the presence of several horses in a state of neglect in a field nearby. Local residents have been feeding them for months. Six horses, two mules and a donkey were in the field until recently, though some of them have been removed presumably by their owner. Letters have been sent to the Department of the Environment in Algeciras, and statements made to both the Local Police and the Guardia Civil's Sprona unit, but no solution has been forthcoming.
