Gibraltar customs officer arrested on drugs charges

GIBRALTAR
(Agencies/Gibraltar Chronicle) A Gibraltar HM Customs officer was arrested yesterday on suspicion of offering to supply cocaine to individuals on Monday evening. No amount has yet been specified. David Reyes, of 20 Brother O'Brien House, was also arrested for carrying a firearm and ammunition, described as a Diana airpistol, without a holding a firearm certificate. He has also been charged with behaving in a disorderly manner in a public place. A court order allowed the RGP to search his home, where the arms were allegedly discovered. Reyes , who has been the subject of a number of citizen complaints, was released on police bail and appeared at the Magistrates Court yesterday. The case is adjourned to September 1.
