The 11th edition of the annual Campo de Gibraltar History Workshops gets under way on Friday next, October 22, for the following three days. To be held at the Reina Sofía Cultural Centre in Estación de Jimena, this year's edition is dedicated to Tito M. Benady and José Regueira Ramos, the latter whom is to give the opening lecture. Organized by the Instituto de Estudios Campogibraltareños, of which Regueira is a founding member, the event offers a serious viewpoint of the history of the area, and is attended by historians, anthropologists, etc. who specialize on the subject. It all begins on Friday at 4.30pm.
