AENA says it has yet to receive proposal for the acquisition of land for the airport

LA LÍNEA (Agencies) AENA (Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea, the national airport authority) has confirmed that it has yet to receive from the Council the expected proposal for the acquisition of land on which to build the Spanish side of the shared Gibraltar airport. That, at any rate, is what Salvador de la Encina, a member of the parliamentary Development Commission, gathered when he spoke to the head of AENA, Javier Marín, according to Europa Sur. "What is going on with this matter is an embarrassment," said De la Encina. On the other hand, Mayor Alejandro Sánchez stated early in December, that negotiations with the state entity were under way. (Image: illustration only)
