LA LÍNEA (Agencies) Local Police agents arrested a woman, E. G. A. N., 38 and from Ecuador, who is accused of shoplifting. She was arrested at a routine traffic check when the police noticed suspicious activity in the Opel Meriva she was driving; as a result they searched the vehicle despite initial opposition from the woman. Inside they found several shopping bags, one of which was lined with aluminium foil and contained clothinmg that still had their alarm tags attached. The agents visited the shop, where the owner identified the clothing as belonging to it. The woman is 'at the disposal of the courts'.
