JIMENA (Agencies/Press release/Photo: JimenPulse files) Mayor Pascual Collado and Councillor for Public Helth, Mercedes Sgovia recently held a meeting with the head of tha local health area, Inmaculada Cosano, to repeat a long held request for improvements to the emergency services at the municiplity's health centre. A lack of human and material resources causes a shortage of medical staff when an emeregency has to be attended to outside the health centre, leaving it without adequate staff should there be need for an emeregency doctor at the centre. This is an ongoing problem that has been constant for some years now (Prospero note: ... and always comes up in an election year. However, the last time we mentioned it was in early November last year.)
