Two 1967 files on abortions missing from La Línea registry

LA LÍNEA (Agencies) It was revealed recently that two files on abortions taking place in 1967 are missing from the Registry Office in La Línea, both supposedly signed by the same gynecologist, whose name does not appear in any of the press reports. The subject came up after a court ordered the Registro Civil  to find the files as a result of one of the first cases of 'stolen babies' came about. Cristina Díaz Carrasco went to court to try to find out about her brother, who supposedly died at birth that year at the municipal hospital in La Línea (not the present hospital). The register of abortions file is an essential document that certifies that a baby died during or before the first 24 hours after birth, and registers the name of the doctor attending it, who will have signed the death certificate and the burial licence.
