Tough new alcohol law for Gibraltar

GIBRALTAR (GibChronicle/Brian Reyes) The Gibraltar Parliament has unanimously approved a new law that imposes hefty fines on anyone who sells alcohol or tobacco to youngsters. The law does not seek to criminalise young people and allows for some flexibility in its approach to teenage drinking. In broad terms though, it has the practical effect of increasing the legal drinking age from 16 to 18.
