TARIFA (Agencies) A resident of the El Cuartón urbanization was arrested yesterday for starting the fire that broke out on Tuesday and burned some 20 hectares of the (once-)luxury resort. Neighbours alerted the Guardia Civil when they saw her trying to relight the fire in a section that had already been under control. The fire brigade inspectors had suspected all along that the fire had been started on purpose when they found traces of compressed wood chip logs that are used to start home fireplaces. The fire was officially under control at 13.00 yesterday, although a fire brigade unit was being kept in the area in case the wind fanned any remaining embers.
