Schools in Andalucía start summer holidays

ANDALUCÍA As the time approaches, we are getting more and more questions about when schools start their summer holidays - that, of course, is why we published (and took a great deal of trouble with) our School Calendar, which has been on the sidebar since the beginning of this school year. If you click on the image here, you can see for yourself. However, it is unlikely that we will be repeating the experience of creating another calendar for the 2013/2014 school year, as the (considerable) effort went entirely unappreciated (and un-donated) by all -except one - of the people who used it.

I hope so, too, Sue! It's a very laborious job because the various education departments don't seem to coordinate with each other, and then there are the local 'hangover holidays' that can't be guessed at. Will do my best.

Don't know what the problem is with the comment thing. You just have to go with the flow. It allows you to make an anonymous comment - which you can sign with your name and I'll publish it. However, a coffee, or even something stronger, though much appreciated, doesn't really pay the bills, alas.

We have had to use restrictions on the comments pop-up because we were getting too many spam comments and were closed down by Blogger (by mistake, they admitted) and therefore lost a considerable amount of readers (now recovered, thank G). If you want to comment you can send us an e-mail (address on the sidebar) or open a Google account if you don't already have one (this for people who don't have accounts with Wordpress, AIM, etc. - Facebook accounts are not accepted by this BIG RIVAL, Google). Sorry, but there we are...

As an outsider I totally understand how the production of the calendar for the schools holiday can become a cost.
By the time you have spoken to all the schools, the Town Hall and anyone else who think they should have some say. The best part of the working day has gone.
As we all appreciate the amount of great work this site does for everyone in the area. Perhaps we should look at ourselves as we get so much help and assistance.
