(Agencies) Some 50 employees are 'facing hardship', according to Unite, the union that many of them joined for protection. District Officer Charlie Sisarello said there were complex matters to be resolved and grey areas such as the entitlements due to self-employed workers, according to The Gibraltar Chronicle. None of the employees have been paid this month while others have not received their salary for January, which meant they were facing or could imminently be facing financial hardship. The law firm was closed by the RGP on February 9th and senior partners, brothers Benjamin and Solomon Marrache, are in prison awaiting proceedings, and a third brother, Isaac, is not in Gibraltar but the RGP 'are keen to interview him'.
