Coalition of organizations on both sides of the frontier form against 'congestion charge'

LA LÍNEA (Agencies) A coalition of organizations that includes unions, workers associations and political parties got together yesterday at the Asociación Sociocultural de Trabajadores Españoles en Gibraltar (Ascteg) centre in La Línea to hammer out what in Spanish is called a 'platform' against the 'congestion charge' proposed by Mayor Alejandro Sánchez. At the two hour meeting, the head of Ascteg, Rafael Molina, said "We must express ourselves against [the charge] because of the damage it will do to the people of La Línea, as well as to the economies of both La Línea and Gibraltar ... Damage is already being done and it hasn't even been put into operation."
