The Andalusian health authority (SAS in its Spanish acronym) came out yesterday to respond a PP (Partido Popular) comment in the media. The provincial SAS delegation said that the regional hospital "will not be impacted by any financial cuts" resulting from the recession. Work on the project is going as planned and urged local PP leaders to ·come and have a look for themselves." The hospital is being built in the Ronda Norte section of town (image, with present hospital at bottom right, click to enlarge) and was recently the subject of fears that it would be affected by cuts from the PSOE-led Junta de Andalucía. A private hospital is also planned for La Línea.
