Take a pic of your dog and help Spanish Stray Dogs

LOS BARRIOS / CAMPO DE GIBRALTAR (Via e-mail)  I am just writing to let you all know that from the 1st June we are running a prize draw to raise funds for Spanish Stray Dogs. Local artist Tony Artenimas of www.artenimas.com has kindly donated us a hand painted pet portrait. The winner will get to choose the pet of choice to be painted. And then Tony will paint it from a photograph. The painting will take around 2 weeks to complete and Tony has even offered to cover all postage and packaging.  See Tony's amazing work on his website. There is more, including the conditions of entry.>>>There are also several smaller prizes up for grabs including
  • a silk scarf,
  • a handmade swarovski fascinator,
  • 3 dog jumpers available in small, medium and large,
  • Aloe Vera skin healing cream,
  • natural wormer from Verm X
  • and more!
All the prizes can be posted worldwide so the prize draw is open to everyone it doesn't matter if you live abroad!

Entry to the prize draw can be made online via either Paypal or via the donate button on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/spanishstraydogs).

Or you can make an entry in person at our market stall which is held every Saturday at the Mar y Sol in Sotogrande from 10 until 3.

Or you can even place your entries at the Bean and Gone Cafe on Engineers lane in Gibraltar Opening hours are Mon to Fri from 7.30 until 5 or 10 to 3 on Saturdays.

Each entry costs just €5 and all proceeds go to Spanish Stray Dogs fencing fund for the dogs at Los Barrios.

Sadly the fencing at Los Barrios is a terrible mess and many kennels are boarded up using old doors or other bits of scrap materials to keep the dogs from escaping.  Also the main compound has areas which has no fencing at all and theft of dogs is a common problem.  We urgently need to combat this problem.

The prize draw will run for one full month from the 1st June and will end on the 30th June which is when the live draw will take place in the Bean and Gone Cafe in Gibraltar.
