TARIFA The 'Algeciras Jet' ferry, based in Tarifa for trips across the Straits to Tangier, yesterday afternoon at about 3pm hit what is believed to be an underwater rock near Isla de las Palomas, one of several islets close to the larger Isla de Tarifa. Fortunately no-one was injured. The boat returned to port and passengers disembarked, having to wait at least two hours to complete their journey.
